Expo Centre The Expo Centre is Africa’s biggest and most advanced exhibition complex, with a railway station and hotel accommodation on its doorstep. The halls are equipped with sophisticated facilities to match international standards. It also provides easy access for the physically disabled. The 42 000 square metres of hall space is interlinked and a further 42 000 square metres of outdoor space is available to be utilized for large outdoor exhibits. The Centre also has state-of-the-art conference facilities and breakaway rooms. The auditoriums tiered seating alone can accommodate 660 delegates. There are also banking automated teller machines (ATMs), telecommunication services and numerous restaurants and fast-food outlets to ensure every of our visitors are catered for. A lake, landscaped gardens and outdoor arenas enhance the atmosphere. Situated in Johannesburg, the Expo Centre attracts over two million visitor s annually and provides parking facilities for 25 000 cars at any given time. With easy access to all major national and local roads, the Expo Centre is approximately 25 minutes from the Johannesburg International Airport. There is practically no better venue for big events. Road Network The road network is extensive as there are numerous corridors that criss-cross this area. The main roads are the N17, the N12 and N1. There is also Ontdekkers road that can be used to approach the venue from the west. There is easy access to the N3 national road. Entertainment The site allows for an inclusive Global Village to be created. The NGO global forum, parallel events exhibitions, cultural events and some of the Pre-summits will take place on site. Security Services Nasrec is designed to allow for safe and effective crowd control to make visitors feel comfortable and secure. The national security services together with independent security service providers will be at Nasrec to ensure the safety and security of delegates.
